Please Excuse the Extended Absence

It's been over a year since my last post. Or update to this site in general. Rather embarrassing to be honest. Some of you who subscribe to my blog are aware of some of what has occurred in our lives since last summer. It was just over a year ago that things hit the fan with our immediate and extended family. And we became involved with the arduous task of trying to protect our nieces and nephews from atrocities that most would not dare speak of. I will create a post later on to share our story. For now, I simply wanted to leave a tidbit that blogging our journey as a family in the number of ways we go against the grain of society is a desire of mine. And I will do better about updating. But the past two years, and moreso the past year specifically that we have been directly involved with all of these family endeavors stretched me (and the rest of us) thin enough that blogging was the last thing on my mind. There have been a lot of changes since my last post and I want to update on all of the changes and milestones sooner rather than later. But I have to get in the mindset to do so. First steps to do this were updating the pages and links associated with my website. I appreciate y'all's patience and understanding in this matter. Will have a real blog post up soon.
